Around 240 eminent faith leaders and representatives from 44 countries have delivered the COP22 Interfaith Climate Statement to United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, at the UN climate change negotiations in Marrakesh. Quakers in Britain, Friends World Committee for Consultation and Quaker United Nations Office are among the signatories.

Friends House, the central offices of Quakers in Britain, appears in a new film shot on location across the capital, showing London's temples, Islamic centres, gurdwaras, synagogues, meeting houses and churches, opening their doors with a warm welcome in this Inter Faith Week.

This week Quakers are marking the anniversary of the devastation wrought on Hiroshima and Nagasaki by World War II nuclear bombs. One hundred years ago Quakers were on a different battlefield, among courageous conscientious objectors rescuing the dying and wounded at the Somme, one of the bloodiest battles in World War I.
