If you would like to talk to somebody about coming along to meeting for worship, you may either:
Staff usually work between 9am–5pm. Most have email and voicemail, see
staff contact list. Please contact the relevant member of staff for your query when possible.
Friends House building services December 2017
As the year draws to an end there will be some temporary changes to opening times and staff availability at Friends House.
13 December – All-staff Christmas lunch
The restaurant will not be open to members of the public.
15 December – All-staff conference
Friends House will be closed to members of the public. The restaurant, café, bookshop, worship space, and library will be closed all day.
15 December–1 January – restaurant closed
The restaurant will be closed for refurbishment and over the break. We look forward to welcoming customers back at 12pm on Tuesday 2 January 2018.
Light hot food offer will be available in the café 18–22 December, 12pm–2pm.
16 December – Quaker Centre closed
The café, bookshop and worship space will be closed on this day.
18–20 December – bookshop evening events
The bookshop will be hosting authors to discuss and launch their latest books at 6.30pm each evening, tickets are free. For more information visit

The café will close at 7.30pm, and the bookshop at 8.30pm on these days.
21 December – café amended hours
The café will close at 6pm on this day.
22 December – services available
- Café: 8am–2pm (light hot food offer 12pm–2pm)
- Bookshop: 10am–2pm
- Library: 10am–2pm
The building will close at 4pm prompt.
22 December–2 January – building closure
Friends House will close at 4pm prompt on Friday 22 December, until 7.30am on Tuesday 2 January 2018 (except for meeting for worship, as below).
Sunday 24 and 31 December – meeting for worship
Friends House will be open for meeting for worship, 11am–12pm on these days.
