We will try to respond to email enquiries, but our access to collections information may be limited. You should still be able to access our online catalogue here: https://www.quaker.org.uk/resources/library/search-the-catalogue and our subject guides here: https://www.quaker.org.uk/resources/library/about-....

We hope to be able to keep updating our social media accounts listed below.

Reader registration

We require readers to register by completing a registration form, which is available to download below. Readers must provide photographic ID and formal proof of address (drivers licence, utility bill etc) to register. Britain Yearly Meeting members and attenders do not need to provide proof of address as long as they are listed on the central BYM database.

Visit our About the collections page for more information about what material the Library holds. We have an online catalogue where you can search for material in advance of your visit. For more information go to Search the catalogue.

We encourage you to contact us in advance of your visit. You can pre-order material by emailing us your order on the Contact us page.

We reserve the right to restrict access to our collections - please read the guide to access document on this page.

We charge £5 per day for self-service photography of library and archive material, payable in cash. You will be asked to fill in a copyright declaration form and to follow the Library's photography rules. We do not allow flash photography, tripods or handheld scanners and require that all material is handled and supported appropriately. Library staff are happy to help if you are unsure. Self-service photography is for private research only, if you require images for publication or display please contact library@quaker.org.uk
