Quaker Life Central Committee (QLCC) met on 20 September. The committee endorsed new wording for the Quaker marriage declaration, considered area meeting compliance and sustainability reporting, and agreed to pass all governance of Swarthmoor Hall and the Quaker bookshop to the Quiet Company Board.

YMAC 25-27 July 2025
Yearly Meeting Agenda Committee (YMAC) met from 25 to 27 July 2025 to begin planning for May 2026 Yearly Meeting. They were joined by a number of Friends from different organisations and meetings who helped YMAC discern what might form the agenda for the meeting.

Meeting for Sufferings is a national meeting of representatives of area meetings and some other Quaker communities and committees. It does some of the important work of the yearly meeting in between Yearly Meeting sessions. Meeting for Sufferings will be laid down in May 2026 and replaced by continuing Yearly Meeting sessions that will still include representatives but will also be open to all.

Britain Yearly Meeting Trustees met over three days in November to discuss business including the operational plan and budget for 2026 and the finalisation of the BYM investment policy. They also considered a new Memorandum of Understanding with Woodbrooke and the latest report from the Reparations Working Group.

Quaker Peace & Social Witness Central Committee (QPSWCC) considered and reviewed two major areas of work, our peace education programme and our support to East African peacebuilding and nonviolence. It also considered what process we would like to undertake to review the QPSW strategy, which runs out at the end of 2027.
