Treasurers
Local meeting treasurers are responsible for the financial resources of the local meeting. They attend regular finance committee meetings and report back to meeting for business. They prepare and present the local meeting's annual accounts to submit to the area meeting treasurer.

Quaker South Asia Interest Group (QSAIG)
We are a network of Quakers, with personal or professional links to people or projects in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan and neighbouring states. We are also interested in working with and learning from people from these countries who now reside in the UK. We meet annually in London, Leeds or Birmingham and have a newsletter at least once a year. If you would like to join the group please get in touch.

The Quaker Committee for Christian and Interfaith Relations (QCCIR) helps Quakers in Britain in their work with other religious faiths, spiritual and human values groups in pursuit of common goals. Quaker Life Central Committee has a Representative Council which is made up of representatives from every area meeting. The Council provides a two-way channel of communication with Friends in their meetings, the main purposes being educational, inspirational and consultative.

The courage of our convictions
Over the past two years South East Scotland Friends have been developing a concern about increasing militarisation in society. We heard that Edinburgh was to be a focus for Armed Forces Day, and thought it would be a good opportunity to make our concern more public. We planned a joint witness with the Scottish Peace Network.
