Our faith, our work: a look back at 2017
I am continually inspired by the breadth, depth and conviction of Quakers' work. Across Britain meetings are taking action inspired by their faith, working to nurture and diversify their communities, and supporting Quaker work to make the world a better place.

5 ways to make Quaker meeting houses work for the future
I'm always a bit anxious when we spend time worrying about Quaker property. Early Quaker George Fox was disparaging about 'steeple houses'. In his radical vision, going to a physical church was not necessary to experience God. Really it's the community that makes up the church, not the premises it meets in.

Why should we protest against DSEI?
In 2019, when I was 15, I attended a protest against the Defence and Security Equipment International arms fair (DSEI) alongside hundreds of peace activists, many of whom were Quakers. We gathered outside the ExCel centre in London to block the entrance, share art, sing, and hold meetings for worship in remembrance of the countless victims of war.

A youthful Yearly Meeting
Children and young people are a vital part of Yearly Meeting. They gather to look at its themes in age-appropriate ways, build community, explore Quaker faith and practice, experience worship and prayerful decision-making, and of course have lots of fun in a safe space.
