Quakers in Britain supports Quaker communities in Britain and help them live out their faith in the world.

Helping Quaker communities thrive

We support Quaker meetings and communities across Britain to welcome new people, nurture the spiritual life of children and young people, and find ways of worship and governance that work for them.

92% of local meetings (414/450) participate our peer support networks, which help Quakers share knowledge, solve challenges together, and build stronger communities.

Building more peaceful schools and classrooms

We help schools become inclusive, peaceful communities where every child can feel heard, valued and able to learn. Through direct work with schools, teacher training, high-quality resources, and education policy advocacy, we equip children and young people with practical skills in empathy, communication, emotional regulation and conflict resolution.

We helped 161 children gain empathy, confidence, and communication skills through their work as Peer Mediators, helping their classmates resolve conflicts.

Standing alongside communities living under occupation

We recruit, train and send human rights monitors to the West Bank as part of the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI). These volunteer Ecumenical Accompaniers (EAs), live alongside communities in the West Bank who are working non-violently against the occupation. They witness life under occupation, provide a protective and solidarity presence, and advocate for change.

In 2025, EAs documented 2,605 human rights incidents, contributing to international reporting mechanisms utilised by the UN, NGOs, and governments. Two-thirds of these cases were also escalated to humanitarian agencies for follow up or immediate assistance.

Enabling community-led transformation in East Africa

We support local organisations in Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi who are delivering community‑led nonviolence and peacebuilding. The programme enables people to identify and address the root causes of injustice and conflict within their own communities, building sustainable peace from the ground up.

Last year, we supported 106 ongoing campaigns, which successfully challenged land‑grabs, addressed domestic violence and corruption, and advanced disability, water and environmental rights.

Mobilising faith and influencing power for a fairer and more sustainable future

We collaborate with faith and secular partners to challenge inequality and advocate for redirection of finance away from fossil fuels and towards ethically grounded climate action led by communities most affected by climate harm.

More than 150 multi-faith climate activists attended our recent climate summit, reporting increased confidence in advocating for climate justice within their communities and to policymakers .
