Whose Stories Are Missing From Quaker Archives?
10 September 2025, Online
How can Quaker individuals and organisations increase the range of voices heard, recorded and preserved for the future? In our archives, we have to consider questions of location, what materials are included, and hence which voices are represented.
This session builds on Mary Crauderueff's two chapters from The Quaker World (eds. Daniels and Grant, Routledge, 2022), 'Quaker Archives in the United States' and 'Dismantling White Supremacy in Quaker Archives: A Case Study'. Mary will talk about this work and related projects, drawing on examples from around the world (including the Africa Quaker Archive project) and more recent developments. There will also be time for discussion and questions.
