Make Them Pay weekend of action
20 - 21 September 2025
Ahead of COP30 in Brazil, people will join together for a demonstration to express their support for making polluters pay for climate breakdown.
Climate justice means tackling the root causes of climate breakdown, including the unequal distribution of wealth as polluters profit from burning through the world's resources.
On Saturday September 20 in London, a diverse coalition of groups will gather in London to show their support for taxing the super-rich, reshaping our economy to support people and planet, and making polluters pay for the impacts of climate breakdown. There will be an interfaith bloc where you can connect with Quakers and others of faith.
On Sunday September 21, following the demo, there will be workshops to explore ideas around climate and economic justice, including an interfaith workshop on climate finance.
This event will be updated as plans develop - sign up to the mailing list, keep checking back for more information, and email climatejustice@quaker.org.uk if you'd like to talk about the Make Them Pay weekend.
