Do you want to feel more confident leading activities, supporting groups and helping people work well together?
This weekend course is for young Quakers aged 16 to 21 who want to develop their facilitation and leadership skills in a supportive Quaker community. Together we'll explore how groups work, how to build trust and inclusion, and how to plan and lead activities that help people take part.
You'll learn practical skills for:
- welcoming people and helping groups form
- understanding group dynamics
- planning and facilitating sessions
- supporting decision making and reflection
- leading with awareness of power, equality and inclusion
- responding well when things feel challenging
The course will include games, discussion, reflection, practical planning and opportunities to try out facilitation in a safe and encouraging space. It is designed to be useful whether you already help with Quaker events or are just beginning to explore leadership.
By the end of the weekend, you'll have a clearer sense of your own facilitation style, more tools for working with groups, and greater confidence to contribute to young Quaker spaces.
Book your place by Tuesday 15 September.
