Facilitation & Leadership

An event for 16 to 21 year olds.

This is a great opportunity for young Quakers who want to facilitate activities for other young Quakers. You'll have the chance to try out practical skills as well as learn about groups and being a facilitator.
“I expected to develop skills to facilitate and I think I have as I now know more methods..." lt looks at how to build community in groups we're part of and how to reflect Quaker beliefs, values and practices in our facilitation. The event is open to people new to facilitation and those with previous experience.

Cost: £135 (includes food and accomodation). Bursaries are available to assist with the cost of attending for those who require assistance (please email Catherine at catw@quaker.org.uk)
Bookings: We are able to take bookings until Wednesday 5 October. If you would like to come you need to apply by completing the online form and indicating that you will uphold the community agreement. You should be born between 14 October 2001 and 18 October 2006 to attend the event.
Please read the leaflet "providing information about participant needs" for more details about why we ask for this information. The participant should read the Community agreement and indicate at the end of the application form that they will uphold this during the event.
Friday 14 October.
- The evening meal is 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm (if you are unable to arrive by 6:45pm please eat on the journey).
- Participants should arrive by 8:15pm in time for the first session at 9:00pm.
Sunday 16 October
- Departures will be from 3:15pm.
