Coming Together for Continuing Revelation
3 June - 8 July 2025, Online
Are there topics your local meeting struggles to discuss or resolve? Do you feel stuck by conflict avoidance or invisible seeming blocks to Truth? In this course, we will explore ways to address these challenges with tenderness and wisdom.
This course is drawn from Windy's experience with developing and using 'Coming together for Continuing Revelation', which is a creative new model for corporate discernment to address important, but taboo, experiences with tenderness and wisdom. The name reflects the Quaker understanding that as individuals and as a community we are engaged in an ongoing search for truth, remaining open to new light as we learn to live in right relationship with the world and our communities.
We might be concerned with talking about things and avoid them, fearing we don't have the skills to engage with tenderness and wisdom. This avoidance is causing ruptures in our communities where important experiences cannot be addressed.
This course offers a model of corporate sharing and listening that is based on both traditional Quaker clearness process and storytelling, moving from the individual's personal clarity to the clarity of the community in circles of accompaniment.
In this course we will explore and seek to understand this method, using a mix of presentations, sharing, small group work and reflective activities.
The live sessions will take place at 18:30-20:00 (UK time) every Tuesday.
