A Quaker Wedding

This leaflet describes what happens at a Quaker wedding. It's aimed at people who aren't familiar with Quaker worship. It covers settling into silence, the declarations, ending the meeting for worship and signing the Quaker marriage certificate. There's information about the part played by spoken ministry in the wedding. It also mentions the commitment made by two people entering into marriage and how that is joyfully supported by the whole Quaker community.

This short, simple leaflet describes what happens at Quaker funerals. It's aimed at people who aren't Quakers, and people who are familiar with Quaker worship but might not have been at a Quaker funeral before. There is information about where the funeral might be held and how it will start and finish. There's information about the part played by spoken ministry in the funeral. It ends with a description of the Quaker experience of silence as fellowship.

This form is for use by any Friend to make clear their funeral wishes to their Quaker community. Meetings should store completed forms securely in line with their area meeting data protection policy.

Friends authorised to issue orders for burial use this form to authorise the making of a grave for interment, the interment of ashes and the scattering of ashes at a Quaker burial ground.
