Yearly Meeting sessions in 2027
2027 will be the first year of the full four-sessions-a-year cycle – here are all the dates and what we know so far.
Saturday 20 February: Friends House & online
The agenda hasn't been finalised but Agenda Planning Committee expects that it may include:
- More details about Yearly Meeting Gathering (see below)
- Further consideration of membership
- More information on how to engage with the book of discipline Read, reflect, respond process
- Discernment of Quaker Recognised Body applications
Saturday 1 May: Friends House & online
Plans for the agenda are at an early stage but Agenda Planning Committee has already discerned that it may be right to hear from the Reparation Working Group and from the Book of Discipline Revision Committee.
Yearly Meeting Gathering: 24-28 July, University of Hull & online
Committees and staff are busy making plans for the first ever hybrid Yearly Meeting Gathering. It will take place at the University of Hull and online from Saturday 24 until Wednesday 28 July. Bookings will open early in 2027 – financial support will be available for Friends who need it.
The agenda for YMG will focus on discernment on the draft book of discipline, Our Quaker way.
Saturday 20 November: Friends House & online
The agenda is not yet set but is likely to include further business brought by the Reparation Working Group.
