Vigil for Peace and Equality on steps of Central Manchester FMH outside Conservative Party Conference
4 - 7 October 2015, Manchester
We will have a vigil with posters, banners and leafleting on the steps of the Meeting House which is very close to the venue of the Conservative Party Conference.
You are probably aware that the Conservative Party Conference will be at Manchester Central from Sunday 4 to Wednesday 7 October. Manchester and Warrington AQM Social Justice Group, working with East Cheshire Friends, is planning to bring a message of equality and peace, through silent vigils with posters and leafleting, banners, and an equality garden, all on the steps in front of Central Manchester Meeting House.
The vigils are planned to be at the following times:
Sunday 4 October – 1.00pm to 1.30pm
Monday 5 October – 2 vigils – 9.15am to 9.45am and 6.15pm to 6.45pm
Tuesday 6 October – 2 vigils – 9.15am to 9.45am and 6.15pm to 6.45pm
Wednesday 7 October – 2 vigils – 9.15am to 9.45am and 1.30pm to 2.30pm.
If possible, we would like also to leaflet outside the Conference Centre before the vigil (8.45 – 9.15). If anyone would like to help with this, please contact Phoebe Spence on 07949 492544.
We hope that Friends and attenders will support these silent vigils.
