Hosting Warm Spaces
17 January 2023, Zoom
In this session we'll be following on from earlier outreach and faith in action sessions exploring how Friends are responding to the cost of living crisis. We will look at possibilities such as providing a warm space or hot meal, and ways of working in partnership with others.
Some Friends are already using their meeting houses to provide this kind of welcome. Others who don't have a meeting house are working with ecumenical or interfaith groups, or other charities, in order to get involved. In past sessions we looked at seeing warm spaces as a way of reaching out to people who this session in particular we'll be focusing on what a warm welcome looks like to people who don't normally come to a Quaker meeting and some practical solutions to common issues.
My hope is that in this session we will look at ways to make people coming to the warm spaces feel like they can help run them but the most important thing is this session covers what you want it to. Please email faithinaction@quaker.org.uk if there are certain topics you'd like covered.
You can sign up for the session on 17 January at the link below.
