The Liturgies of Quakerism
27 October - 28 November 2021, Online
The course will cover the history of the theology of worship and ministry as well as giving participants space to think about our present-day practice and how it might evolve.
How are we to understand the silence of Quaker worship? It is often seen in opposition to more traditional church forms or liturgies but traditionally it incorporates all of the elements of Christian worship in a radically alternative way. This course looks at the early theological understandings of worship and how it fitted with the Quaker understanding of the end of time, and what has happened in the centuries since.
Live sessions are every Monday at 19:00-20:30 (UK time).
