Wheel Stop Trident

Around 14 young people, most with a Quaker background, formed Wheel Stop Trident in early 2015. Since then, we've pedalled cheerfully from London to Reading, and from Trident-linked arms company offices to Parliament, calling for the government to scrap Trident and spend the £100 billion on services that ensure true security.

I was lucky to start my year at the Peace Pledge Union (PPU) during a busy and active time. Within the first few days I was involved in the protests against DSEI – the world's largest arms fair, held in London every two years. A member of PPU staff was there every day to help disrupt or stop the arms fair happening.
