Quakers and Kindertransport
The Germany Emergency Committee of the Religious Society of Friends was set up in 1933, shortly after Hitler came to power. This committee, alongside other groups, was responsible for helping Jewish children escape Nazi persecution in Germany, Czechoslovakia, Austria and Poland. It then supported them in the countries to which they had fled. This is known as the Kindertransport.

All together now!
Yearly Meeting is the annual assembly of the Quaker church in Britain. It's when Quakers gather in worship to connect, explore current concerns and conduct business. At this year's event we'll be trying something new: an enormous meeting for worship that will bring together as many Quakers as possible from across Britain.

Informed prayer, prayerful action: a call from Palestinian Christians
The theme and service this year comes from Palestinian Christian women living in Palestine. We are all encouraged to pray for peace, justice and freedom of religion and movement. They ask us to pray especially for women, refugees, the sick, dying and grieving in their country, and also beyond.
