Seeking volunteers for children's and young people's events at Yearly Meeting

Volunteers are key to offering children and young people's programmes at Yearly Meeting. Brilliant volunteers, who help plan and facilitate these programmes, enable us to offer activities which are rooted in our Quaker communities. BYM staff who are putting together programmes for 0-18 years olds to engage with Yearly Meeting in July are seeking volunteers.

The Children's Programme (0-11), Young People@Yearly Meeting Programme (11-15) and Junior Yearly Meeting (16-18) are all looking for volunteers. Being on a team at an event for children and young people gives you the chance to be part of a purposeful Quaker community, to develop your skills, to contribute to Quakers in Britain and to make a difference to their lives.

One recent volunteer reflects: “I enjoyed it. It always gives me hope for the future when I see such caring and thoughtful young people in action."

If you've not volunteered before, don't worry - you will be offered support and training. You just need to be willing to get stuck in and help ensure participants are having a good time!

All volunteers will be required to go through a safer recruitment process, including enhanced criminal records checks, interview and reference checks. The closing date for applications is 25th February.
