Why should we protest against DSEI?
In 2019, when I was 15, I attended a protest against the Defence and Security Equipment International arms fair (DSEI) alongside hundreds of peace activists, many of whom were Quakers. For those of us not directly impacted by the conflict, and who haven't experienced the unimaginable suffering and loss as a result, what can we do?

Witnessing for peace on Armed Forces Day 2015
On 27 June 2015, Armed Forces Day was hosted in Guildford. The 'tradition' of Armed Forces Day came into existence in 2009, one of the products of a national strategy to build support for the military, and each year a town is chosen as the hub of national activities. John Morris, a Guildford Quaker, wanted to challenge what he saw as a “cruel joke".
