Quakers and the Ecumenical Agenda
When Quakers are holding discussions with other churches, it helps to consider the issues together in meetings or study groups before raising them in ecumenical groups. This booklet is intended for Quakers to use in those preparatory sessions. It has been prepared for and issued by the Quaker Committee for Christian and Interfaith Relations (QCCIR) as part of the committee’s remit to support and encourage Friends in ecumenical work. It reflects some of the thinking of the committee in trying to introduce and pursue a new ecumenical agenda.

QCCIR
Quaker Committee for Christian and Interfaith Relations (QCCIR) supports meetings by having a number of correspondents appointed by Area Meetings. Those correspondents are active in inter-church or interfaith activities in their local areas.
QCCIR members themselves have expertise in inter-church and interfaith work and are happy to correspond with Friends who have problems or would like fresh ideas about how to conduct and expand their activities in these areas. QCCIR members are also willing to speak to meetings about interchurch or interfaith work and share success stories. Below you will find some leaflets to support those engaged in this rewarding and interesting work.
CIRcular, the newsletter of QCCIR seeks to provide good practice examples and opportunties for Friends to contribute to our inter-church and interfaith engagement. The editor of CIRcular is happy to receive articles describing interfaith and inter-church activities.
