Access update: July 2014 until March 2015 Euston Underground Station
Transport for London (TFL) has announced that the escalators at Euston Underground Station will be undergoing refurbishment from July 2014 until March 2015, in order to ensure their long-term reliability. While the work is carried out there will be no down escalator to the northbound Victoria or Northern (Bank branch) line platforms from 28 October 2014 until late March 2015.
During the refurbishment customers will only be able to use the spiral staircase to access these platforms. The station will be very busy, especially during the morning and evening peaks and TFL urges visitors to use alternative stations or transport options.
Fortunately Friends House is well connected and you can walk or catch a bus from nearby Warren Street (10 minute walk), Euston Square Station (5 minute walk) or King’s Cross St. Pancras (10 minute walk) instead. To help plan your journey go to www.journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk.
Buses 10, 18, 30, 73 and 205 pass the door whilst 59, 68, 91, 168, 253 and 476 stop nearby.
Friends House is within a meter parking zone. Charges must be paid Monday to Friday 08.30 - 18.30, Saturday 09.00 - 16.30. There are alternative, longer-term parking facilities under Euston Station. Please note that Friends House is inside the congestion charge zone. Please go to www.cclondon.com for details of how to pay.
