Finding out about Yearly Meeting
Documents in advance has all the information relating to Yearly Meeting including practicalities, the timetable along with the agenda and all the supporting materials. It is available in a variety of electronic formats at YM publications.
As well as Documents in advance, Epistles & testimonies and the Trustees’ Annual Report and Financial Statement for 2011 are also available electronically on the same page and there are instructions about how to get papers copies.
Late materials will also be made available on the same page and those Friends who have signed up for updates (see end of this page) will receive an email telling them of significant additions.
Engaging with Yearly Meeting
We have found that those meetings which attend YM as a group are strengthened in their life together. This year we are inviting your meeting to engage with Yearly Meeting by considering the topics beforehand, maybe travelling and staying as a group and by arranging to feedback what has happened to those who were not able to attend.
Invitation for local meetings
This includes preparatory materials for the main topics along with travel and accommodation suggestions to help make all of your time in London feel like a gathering. Invitation for meetings [PDF: 944kb - new window]
Yearly Meeting champions
We are looking for Friends who would like to coordinate the activities in the invitation to local meetings (see above) in liaison with clerks and elders. If you are willing (and able) please email ym@quaker.org.uk with the subject ‘YM Champions’ and let us know your name and meeting. We will mark this on a map to make available to Friends online so they can see who to speak with. We will not publish any personal contact details as Friends should be able to find you through the local book of members.
