An integral part of Quaker life, wardens are entrusted with paying attention to all those details that make for conditions conducive to worship and welcome.
Britain Yearly Meeting support both Quaker meetings, as employers, and their employees. We offer advice and guidance on best employment practice and provide access to relevant sources of information.
We also arrange occasional training and workshops on specific wardenship and employment issues and provide support and advice relating to specific issues. See the main website for the full calendar of training and events.
This page is intended to complement information provided in the Directory of services, which is available to download as individual section PDFs (see 'more information' box). There is also a specific section on this website related to the role of a warden.
You can download a PDF of the 'Directory of services: Wardens'. This is a copy of this section as printed in May 2016 and so may be out of date. The web pages are kept up to date on an ongoing basis and the printed copies are updated every two years.
