Want to be a Peace Educator?

Are you interested in providing peace education sessions in your local schools, or through your meeting? In accordance with the Framework for action’s call for the provision of “up-to-date materials, training, advice and information”, a training course in peace education will take place in York on the weekend of 11–13 September 2009.

The course is designed to equip Quakers and others to educate children and young people for peace, both in primary and secondary schools, and also to provide sessions for school groups at their meeting house. The training is open to Friends and attenders and non-Friends alike. Ideally two people from each interested area meeting will train together as co-facilitators.

More information will be online at www.quaker.org.uk/education from July.

To request an application pack contact: Jaci Smith in QPSW on jacis@quaker.org.uk or tel: 020 7663 1087.
