The Friends' Quarterly, vol. 24, no. 6, April 1987

In 1886 the first Quaker missionaries went to China; in 1986 Quaker Peace and Service sponsored two Quaker volunteers to teach English at the University in Chengdu. This centenary was marked by a special edition of the Friends' Quarterly. It included articles by Charles Tyzack about the West China mission, and by Antony Reynolds about the Friends Ambulance Unit in China, as well as articles about Christianity in modern China.
