Militarisation in our Schools -- It's happening NOW

Isabel Cartwright, Peace Education Programme Manager, Quakers in Britain, will share the disturbing truths about how the present government is actively introducing a military ethos in our schools, in the curriculum and through other means.
Isabel Cartwright will support her talk with a recently released video which gives evidence to our schools being militarised. Isabel has a long history of social concern. Her background is in working with young people at risk of exclusion. She worked in secondary schools in East London for ten years and also with young people from conflict areas, which included living on-board the Japanese Peace Boat. As part of her work for the Quakers Isabel has been involved with researching and responding to the growing role of the military in British schools.
