Event and activity management

This policy covers a range of procedures and guidance which ensure that legal obligations and insurance requirements are met. It enables those running events to follow good practice and to take all reasonable care to work in safe ways while considering the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of children and young people. These documents can be adapted for use in other settings and include examples of forms that can be amended to suit your event.

If you are using these for another event, such as a link group or regional Quaker event you must ensure that you meet the requirements of your own organisation, venues you use and your own insurance provider.

Procedures detail measures that staff and/or volunteers are required to undertake, whether this is a legal obligation or an insurance condition. Guidance reflects good working practice, is based on cumulative experience and seeks to address questions and issues that may arise in planning and running events.
