Short-term peace work, internships, study tours and summer schools

Work for Quakers for peace for a year
Each year Quaker Peace & Social Witness recruits one-year peaceworkers to serve at the Quaker UN Office (QUNO) in Geneva as well as at national peace organisations in the UK.  QPSW also recruits annually for one-year Peaceworkers in Burundi.  All of these are usually advertised in late March, with interviews scheduled for May: www.quaker.org.uk/jobs.

Work with children and young people is often reliant on volunteers. It is imperative that volunteers are valued and the Volunteer Involvement Policy sets out procedures and guidelines for working with volunteers. It identifies the responsibilities for those working with volunteers and for the volunteers themselves. The processes for working with volunteers are set, including the need for volunteer role descriptions, recruitment strategies, forms, induction, training and accountability, some examples are provided.
