Our work is Spirit-led. It is our worship and witness together to simplicity, peace, equality and truth.

Margaret Johnston (above), of Bolton Meeting, developed the challenge of a lifetime – a 500 mile sponsored walk across Britain raising funds for Quaker work in South Asia and for one of the Quaker partners, Ekta Parishad.

Quakers work for a better world. We express our faith in action, standing alongside people who face injustice, violence and disadvantage. Our work is pioneering and inspiring, and we show how the Quaker way can change attitudes and open possibilities.

Our work reflects your values

This appeal is for the work done centrally by Britain Yearly Meeting in the name of the whole Society. On behalf of all Friends and attenders throughout the Yearly Meeting, we support meetings, carry out witness through action, promote Quakerism, and sustain the organisational aspects of our faith. This work is guided by committees of Friends drawn from all over the Yearly Meeting who seek the leadings of the Spirit in meetings  for worship for business.
