Reason, Faith and Commitment

Quakers were once believers of a particularly convinced kind, proclaiming their faith from the hilltops. Now we are more comfortable with uncertainty than conviction, a home for seekers, uncomfortable with ‘Jesus’ and ‘God’. Yet our testimonies came into being as early Friends’ response to Jesus’ teaching, which was the source of their faith, affirmed by their own spiritual experience.
