2012 QPSW Relief Grants

QPSW relief grants

Are you involved with a project or programme for the relief of people who are suffering as a result of natural disasters, climate change, war or conflict but not immediate crisis relief? If so, the new QPSW Relief Grants may be able to offer financial assistance.

From gifts made in past years to QPS and as a result of some clarification and consolidating of funds, QPSW now has a revived General Relief Fund to support a new grant making procedure.

Applications are sought for the annual grants available for projects in the UK and overseas. All projects/programmes requesting support should be for the relief of people who are suffering as a result of natural disasters, climate change, war or conflict but not for immediate crisis relief.

Each project must have a Britain Yearly Meeting Quaker link (person or group) and the application should arise from the concern of Friends, supported at least through their local meetings. Projects need not be Quaker led.

Annual grants may be up to £6,000 per project. Single payments might be made but grants for two or three years may also be considered. Existing as well as new projects may be supported and these grants may cover only part of the total funding required.

Please read the advisory notes before contacting Debbie Taylor.
