10th December: Nobel Peace Prize - 60 year anniversary
10 Dec 2007
It is sixty years since Quakers were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their relief work helping displaced people and those facing poverty in Europe in the years before, during and after the Second World War.
Today Quakers are continuing to work for peace, for example, by sending human rights observers to Israel-Palestine.
To find out more about the past and present peace work of Quakers go to Online Exhibition: The Nobel Peace Prize 1947.
For more detail on our current work in Israel-Palestine go to EAPPI - Writing from the field.
